Holding On to a Dream That Wasn’t Meant for Me
In 2023, I thought I had found my path. I decided to start a nail business from home. I bought everything—nail powders, brushes, glitter, tips, removers, and decorations. My husband supported me wholeheartedly and encouraged me, saying it was the perfect way to work from home while still being present for family life.
I even took lessons from nail artists and imagined myself becoming one too. But deep inside, I never felt truly connected to it. For me, nails always felt like a luxury I wanted to enjoy at a salon, not something I wanted to turn into my daily work.
And so, all of those supplies sat untouched for two years. Every time I looked at them, I told myself, “One day, I’ll use these.” But the truth was—I never did.

The Power of Decluttering
This year, I finally decided to start decluttering. The first thing I listed on Marketplace was this huge collection of nail supplies.
It wasn’t easy, because letting go felt like admitting that the dream wasn’t mine after all. But at the same time, it was freeing. Decluttering isn’t just about cleaning up physical space—it’s about releasing the weight of unfinished plans, untried projects, and the guilt of “maybe one day.”
Sometimes, the most powerful step forward is to let go of what no longer serves you.

Nourishing the Body and Soul
That same day, my brunch was simple yet beautiful: a bowl of strawberry Greek yogurt mixed with peanut butter, topped with hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, and chia seeds.

It reminded me that nourishment doesn’t have to be complicated—just like life, the simplest things can be the most fulfilling.
Later in the evening, we went out for a family walk. The weather was perfect—cool, calm, and refreshing. My husband carried our baby, and as I watched them under the streetlights, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for these small, priceless moments.

My Lesson: Release, Refresh, Renew
Letting go of my nail supplies taught me something important: not every dream is meant to be lived. Some dreams are stepping stones, not destinations.
By releasing them, I created space in my heart for what truly matters—family, health, and simple joys.
✨ Lesson for You: If there’s something in your life that no longer brings you joy or purpose, maybe it’s time to let it go. Declutter your space, your mind, and your heart. The freedom you’ll feel is worth it.
